      The Neo-Jack for Violin and Viola - 1/4" Output Jack

     The new Neo Viol jack for violin and viola is the first production output jack that does not clamp to the side of a violin. The jack is held in place simply and securely by the instrument's own tail gut and provides a full size 1/4" output jack that nestles in just behind the tailpiece.

      This quarter inch jack assembly is as small and inconspicuous as possible. It provides an attractive option for players that don't wish to have a jack assembly clamped to their instrument.

Technical     

Since the Neo Viol is held in place by the violin's own tail gut, it will fit 99.9% of all violins and violas regardless of the chin rest clamps. So rather than having an output jack assembly that clamps to the body of the instrument, this Neo-Jack tucks in at the butt of the instrument just above the endpin button.

1) The back bracket is slid into place behind the tail gut

2) The Neo-Jack is fitted into place on the back bracket

3) A small washer and nylock nut tighten the Neo-Jack in place

4) Done
