A Better Mouse Trap

I've just completed a new jack assembly that will fit mandolins and bouzoukis and similar instruments. It provides a standard 1/4" jack and is least invasive jack that we could possibly do.

It is designed to fit those instruments that use a 'Gibson' style tailpiece. I would think that should cover maybe at least 50 percent of those instruments......perhaps maybe more.  We'll see.

This new design only took about a bazillion prototypes and around two months to go from start to finish. 

This is what it looks like on a mandolin. You'll note that it tucks in fairly close to the body and that it mounts using the same two screws used in mounting the tailpiece to the instrument.
